Tony John has been investing in property since 2002. Like most property investors, he started out in residential real estate. After attending a course by Dolf de Roos he was inspired to move into commercial real estate, which he now prefers.Tony John believes that a lot more investors would invest in commercial real estate if they understood:a) that they can afford it, andb) that it can be lucrative.He now spends some of his spare time educating other people about the benefits of commercial property.Tony believes a good investment should benefit you NOW, and that you shouldn’t wait for years to see a return. With that belief, in 2005 he purchased an aircraft, funded purely from his property investments. This was never going to happen on his old salary. In fact, he no longer has a regular job.He spends his time managing his properties, looking after his baby, and flying around in his aircraft.
